Kristi Shollenberger

Kristi Shollenberger has battled Melanoma 3 times in the past 7 years.
Her ENTIRE family has been by her side surrounding her with support!

In 2017, Kristi found a suspicious spot around her ankle. Kristi went a dermatologist where she was diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma. At that time, Kristi had multiple surgeries and treatments later she was cancer free. Another devastating diagnosis came 5 years later-Kristi found a nodule on her left hip. This was soon to be found as stage 3B melanoma. This time, Kristi took a different path of treatments. It was decided that she would take oral chemotherapy that ended up causing multiple complications that affected her daily life. But luckily, she was soon to be cancer free again! Unfortunately in 2024 and 2 years after her last cancer free remission, Kristi started showing signs that were not regular for her. Kristi went for her yearly CT/MRI scans and was found to have Stage 4 Melanoma that as located in her brain. Kristi received immediate treatment of targeted radiation followed by immunotherapy. Kristi then started showing signs of high blood pressure and weakness on the right side of her body and was taken to the Vanderbilt ER. During Kristi's time in the Vandy Neuro ICU, the doctors determined that no further treatment can help. So on Friday, April 26th, Kristi was brought home and placed on hospice. Kristi's family is enjoying the time left that they have with her. On April 28th, Kristi made the best decision of her life and was Baptized in her home! She accepted Jesus into her heart and acknowledged that he is the overall Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

The family wishes for everyone to please pray for peace and comfort during the time she has left.
Her family will never stop looking up to what a strong individual Kristi has been through it all.
