Suzanne Cannon
Suzanne Cannon's battle with cancer began at just 49 years old when she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2012. After a difficult round of chemotherapy that resulted in a ruptured stomach ulcer, she was placed in a medically induced coma and on a respirator for over a month. Defying all odds, Suzanne emerged cancer-free! In 2022, she faced another devastating challenge when her colon cancer metastasized to her right lung. Relying on her faith, a remarkable medical team, and her unwavering resolve, Suzanne underwent surgery to remove two-thirds of her right lung and again became cancer-free, without missing a beat. Most recently, a routine mammogram revealed breast cancer. After the tumor was removed, Suzanne is now preparing to begin radiation treatments in the coming months. Her journey through cancer has been long and painful, leaving lasting marks on her body, emotions, and heart. Yet at 61, Suzanne credits her survival to God, drawing strength from every trial and continuing to praise Him in both the good times and the hard ones.
Each day is a reminder of what she has endured and the friends she has lost to cancer over the years. She often speaks of them and continues to pray for their families.
Despite the hardships, Suzanne remains optimistic, embracing each day with gratitude and recognizing the true value of life. She is a hero to many, and those who know and love her consider themselves incredibly blessed.
“I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
