Christina Buttram

Christina is happily married to the love of her life, Kody, and together they share five wonderful children: Isla Kate (15), Mason (11), Jack (10), Greyson (9), and Kason (8). Their family also includes Dolly, a playful 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel puppy.

At the end of September, Christina went to the doctor for a routine checkup. She mentioned feeling a lump in her right breast but wasn't too concerned, having had cysts in the past. However, after an ultrasound, her doctor informed her that it was a mass, not a cyst, and she immediately sensed something was wrong. She met with Dr. Jason Seale at Surgical Associates in Decatur, who performed a biopsy that same day. On September 6, she received the diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Triple Negative. Her port was inserted on September 10, and she is set to begin chemotherapy on October 8.

Breaking the news to her family, especially her children, was incredibly difficult. However, she is blessed with a deeply supportive family, especially Kody, who has been her unwavering rock through it all.

Christina is profoundly grateful for the love and support from her church family, friends, and relatives during this challenging time.
